This historic townhouse, home to a young family, carries an exceptional sense of character and history. Parts of the property date back to the 12th century, with the home believed to be a combination of several older residences built upon medieval foundations. One of its most remarkable features remains the staircase and its beautifully preserved drawing room from the 19th century.

Our approach was to preserve as much of the historic soul of the house as possible while introducing a contemporary atmosphere that feels refined and warm. Rich materials and deep tones were carefully balanced against the architectural heritage of the space. Dark herringbone parquet flooring creates a timeless foundation, combined with warm lacquered Bordeaux accents, stainless steel details, and deep green velvet tones that bring softness and depth into the interior.

Throughout the home, contemporary furniture and lighting were selected to complement the existing architecture rather than compete with it. The result is a layered interior where history and modern living coexist naturally, creating a home that feels both elegant and deeply personal.
