Contemporary apartment
Located in Forest near Wiels, this apartment was imagined as a cool urban space with an unexpected twist. Every furniture piece and object was carefully curated to create an interior that feels effortless yet deeply considered, balancing contemporary living with a more raw and expressive atmosphere.
The inspiration came from old Brussels architecture and vintage materials, including reclaimed glass tiles sourced from an older building in the city. Their reflective surfaces introduce a subtle nostalgic character throughout the apartment, giving the interior a slightly cinematic and timeless feeling. Concrete textures, warm terracotta tones, and mineral finishes create a strong material identity that feels both artistic and grounded.
The apartment was designed around openness and contrast, where cleaner architectural lines interact with softer furniture and more tactile materials. The bedroom continues this atmosphere with an integrated bathroom concept that feels intimate, contemporary, and quietly bold.
Throughout the project, the furniture selection remained intentionally curated and understated, allowing the materials, textures, and spatial atmosphere to speak naturally. The result is a highly personal Brussels apartment with a cool, urban energy and a strong architectural soul.
